Genealogy Research Webinars

Genealogy. Seems simple, at first. Everyone has public records out there ready to be found, or have already been found by someone else! Birth certificates, school records, marriage/divorce papers, military records, land owner records, and death certificates are just a few to piece together the life of your ancestor. AND then you get HOOKED!! Before you know it you have records coming out of your ears and you don't know where to go from there.

I would like to share with you a wealth of good information if you are doing any genealogy research. Many genealogy sites provide webinars teaching you tips and tricks to help you find your ancestors or just organize your growing heap of records. Recently I listened to a webinar from Legacy Family Tree that was much more informative than I expected. I am now signed up for ALL their webinars, 6-7 EVERY month in 2017!! Now listen to this; if you have an annual membership you get unlimited access! BUT, you can listen to all the webinars for FREE (no membership at all) if you listen to them LIVE! (Once registered for a webinar, if you miss it you will be emailed a link so you can watch it up to 7 days after the webinar was held.) I did miss a couple in January I would really have liked to listen to but I am not yet ready to pay for an annual membership so I will just wait for the next one.

Here is a list of the upcoming webinars from Legacy Family Tree.    Family Tree Webinars 2017

This particular webinar shown below should definitely be watched. The McGillivray's used the same names across family lines. I have found so many different ancestors named Alexander that 'impossible' is the word that comes to mind thinking of figuring out which Alex or Alec, or Alxr. is on which family line!!!
